Reds rating 20 runs in win over Cubs, most since 1999


Earlier this season, the Cincinnati Reds scored 20 runs throughout an 11-game shedding streak in April. On Thursday, the Reds matched that whole in eight innings towards the Chicago Cubs to win, 20-5.

The Reds hadn’t scored 20 runs in a recreation since 1999 when the crew did it twice with a 22-Three win towards the Philadelphia Phillies and a 24-12 win towards the Colorado Rockies.

Chicago jumped out to a 3-Zero lead Thursday earlier than the Reds began their scoring frenzy within the backside of the second inning with a two-run house run. One inning later, Cincinnati poured on eight extra runs when the crew batted across the Cubs.
