Final week, benches cleared throughout a sport between the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees after Yankees third baseman Josh Donaldson made an allegedly “racist remark” in the direction of White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson. It was quickly found that Donaldson known as Anderson “Jackie,” referring to former Brooklyn Dodgers legend Jackie Robinson (who broke baseball’s colour barrier in 1947).
Donaldson has claimed that he had no ill-intent with the remark and actually, it was a remark he had used to speak with the White Sox All-Star prior to now after Anderson referred to himself as “right now’s Jackie Robinson” throughout an interview in 2019. Regardless of the reason, Donaldson was suspended for one sport for the remark.
On Thursday, the previous MVP launched an announcement on the state of affairs.
